Roof Inspection in Vernon Hills, IL

Know Exactly What's Going On With Your Vernon Hills Roof

Buying a home, filing a claim, or just curious after a storm, a proper inspection covers the shingle surface, flashing, decking, and attic ventilation, not just a quick look from the driveway.

Why Choose Our Specialized Roof Inspection Team

What Sets Our Roof Inspection Crew Apart In Vernon Hills, IL

None of this is generic marketing language. Each point below reflects how Roof Inspection jobs actually get handled here in Vernon Hills, IL.

Full-Roof, Not Drive-By, Inspection

Inspectors physically walk the roof and check the attic, not just a visual scan from the ground or a satellite photo review.

Written Report With Photos

Every inspection ends with a written report and dated photos covering every area checked, useful for insurance, resale, or your own records.

Moisture Meter & Diagnostic Tools

Professional-grade diagnostic tools catch problems a visual check alone would miss, especially early-stage moisture intrusion.

No-Pressure Findings

We report what we find, whether that's nothing concerning or a repair recommendation, without pushing unnecessary work.

Comprehensive Roof Inspection Solutions

What Our Roof Inspection Specialists Handle

If your Roof Inspection situation doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories, call anyway, chances are we've handled something close to it before in Vernon Hills.

01

Pre-Purchase Home Inspection

Buying a home in Vernon Hills, IL often means a roof inspection contingency; we provide a report that covers remaining shingle life and any active issues.

02

Insurance & Claim-Support Inspection

We document existing roof condition for insurance purposes, useful both before a claim and as a baseline record afterward.

03

Post-Storm Damage Assessment

After a storm, we check specifically for hail bruising, wind-lifted shingles, and compromised flashing that could lead to a future leak.

04

Annual Maintenance Inspection

A yearly inspection catches granule loss, loose flashing, and clogged valleys before they become interior problems, with a report to track condition over time.

05

Attic & Ventilation Assessment

Attic access often reveals moisture staining and ventilation issues that aren't visible from the roof surface at all.

Quick Answers Before You Call

What does a full roof inspection actually include?▼
A walked inspection of the shingle surface, flashing, valleys, and penetrations, plus an attic check for moisture staining and ventilation balance.

Most full inspections take under an hour, depending on roof size and complexity.
Do I get a written report afterward?▼
You'll receive a documented report suitable for insurance, resale, or your own records, not just a verbal rundown.

Yes, the report is formatted in a way most insurers can process, and we're glad to coordinate with an adjuster if needed.
Will you try to sell me repairs I don't need?▼

How often should I get my roof inspected?▼

Trusted Roof Inspection service in Vernon Hills, IL - GD Commercial Roofing
The land that was to become Vernon Hills, founded by Richard Theodore Freese, Ron Freese, and Jim Carswell, began with the establishment of a 200-acre (0.81 km2) farm in 1857. Use of the land remained relatively static until the 1960s, when part of it was purchased for a residential community and golf course; the development was the first use of the name "Vernon Hills." On June 16, 1958, the village officially incorporated with 123 residents and 125 houses in a single subdivision built by Quinn Hogan and Barney Loeb. During these times, the village and police department were run from a local motel until 1971 when village trustees bought two portable buildings. It saw steady but slow growth until the annexing of a plot of land near the corner of IL-60 and IL-21 in 1971, which led to the building of 1,200,000-square-foot (110,000 m2) Hawthorn Center. By 1980, the village's population had grown to almost 10,000 residents, and by 2000, it had surpassed 20,000.
